Light green chrysoprase is a beautiful variety of chalcedony quartz, valued for its apple-green to watery green hues. It's coloured by nickel impurities, often found in Australia, and used in jewellery for its beauty and believed metaphysical properties like joy and compassion. This cabochon was handcut and polished from a rough slab of this material. I've left some evidence of the way it forms in the small cavities as I love the stone to tell it's own story.
